My experience first using Diigo was good, although it took a bit of playing around with the website. I liked how you could highlight URL's and webpages. I also liked how you could import notes. I didn't like the ads, but when things are free I understand their necessity.

I have liked blogging, although it's hard to blog in a colorful way within the academic setting. It is nice to feel you have your own space however. It is a lot like social media, but more lengthy, which I like, and I especially like the sense of privacy mixed with a public forum, as I highly doubt my blog has much traffic at all. I can definitely see the benefit of being able to manipulate a website for someone that really wants to get into blogging.

My favorite Web 2.0 tool so far is Skype. I like it primarily because I am most familiar with it and using it brings back fond old memories. Within the classroom I can see its value for broadening the classroom for students who can't always be there, or to bring a guest to class without having to physically have them come give a talk to the class. I think the applications for Skype in the classroom are exponential and will help make school more effective and enriched.

My experience with twitter so far has been smooth. Of course, this is probably to do with the fact I had already used twitter for a bit, but nonetheless it is easy to use for school-related purposes as well. I do have some issues with making the posts not so dry when using it for class, but I guess that comes with the territory. I did find it interesting how the ads I come across have changed since I began using it for this purpose.
