My experience with twitter so far has been smooth. Of course, this is probably to do with the fact I had already used twitter for a bit, but nonetheless it is easy to use for school-related purposes as well. I do have some issues with making the posts not so dry when using it for class, but I guess that comes with the territory. I did find it interesting how the ads I come across have changed since I began using it for this purpose. Overall I like twitter best when used causally, however I do see the useful application of twitter to an educational format.

In my experience using weekly.com to make my class webpage I feel I have gained a lot. Although at first I was considerably frustrated, working through the frustration to finally understand the website made it become fun quickly. I had a lot of trouble adding links to the site, and was confused as to how I could change the tabs in the top right-hand corner of the website from the default "home/services/about/contact" to more fitting names, but I feel I figured it out. That being said I'll need to go back and fix up a few details before it is all said and don tonight. But I feel more than gain experience, this assignment gave me a growing experience as I was forced to work through the frustration that comes with the initial comprehension of new technology.

As far as assistive technologies are concerned, I am well aware of their importance to those who need them. This comes as a result of life with my own mother, who although is very healthy and athletic at her age, needs hearing aids. Its hard to understand the true details of what all goes into the unfair experience of needing assistive devices as someone without them, but just one such example was given to me when my mother, before receiving hearing aids, shared with me how hard it is when she can't hear people and they get increasingly frustrated each time they must repeat themselves. Saying; "I just can't help it, I just feel so bad though so sometimes I just stop asking." It is in this way that assistive technologies don't just "level the playing field" but rather afford someone the life each and every one of us often take for granted, I feel it is not leveling the playing field, this technology offers the opportunity to remove the exceptional distress and depression that comes through no fault of one's own. I would say that the place of these technologies is not simply fair, rather, it is only right.
